Starting Over

I have been pre-emptorily blocked out of my Halt Stop Forget Relax blog on Blogger because I changed ISPs and didn't change my sign in address the day before it went active. I have gone through their help section and while they don't recognize my sign in, they send all of their helpful answers, including my new password information to my old inactive e-mail account. I have since managed to sign into Google, but still not to Blogger, so I am starting over.  Of course, with my lovely memory deficits, I can barely remember any of your Blogs' names (they come and go), let alone their URLs which Google/Blogger requires, so how do I get in touch with you for help?  I guess I will contact Lisa over at the Carnival of MS Bloggers. I am bound to get a few of you back through her.

I have my new chair! It's mostly black (seat and arms, and boy do they get hot in the sun!), but has cherry red on the back and over the motor. DH hasn't put a barrier lip on the make shift ramp out of the back yard yet, so I don't dare try to go up it lest I end up in the pond. My driving skills need much work in tight spaces, and I have the gouged door jambs to prove it. Needless to  say, at 970 s.f., my whole house consists of tight spaces.

I did manage to make it on to the patio for awhile this afternoon. It's 84° out there, and now it's time for me to cool off inside. For some reason, even though this house is poorly insulated, lucky for me it stays remarkably cool during the heat of the Summer.

I am patiently waiting to take this baby out and see what she can do; crank her up to more than one bar, you know? I had the techs from NuMotion come out and do some fine tuning: making it narrower through the arms, making the speed control less jumpy at the start, etc. I got a few tips about going down hill -- make sure that I am tilted back a bit so I don't slip off the seat; make sure that I lay back for a short time every hour [yes, every hour! to prevent a bed sore, etc.

The last time I went to see my neuro, I told him I stopped taking Copaxone as it didn't seem to be helping anymore. Clearly I am now secondary progressive. There are no drugs that will help me, alas. Instead he wrote me an Rx for Gabapentin for the occasional times when I have intractable spasms in my legs. It does seem to help me sleep when my legs are jumpy as well. Other than that, he was "call me when you need me"... Hasta la vista, baby. I thought it was a rather cold way to more or less end a 23 year relationship.

So with that, I'll leave for today.

TTYL and be Well,

  1. Hiya! All the new things "they" change confuse the heck out me too. Miss one little line in pages of instructions and the UGH OH happens. I am glad you got your chair! I was wondering why you had not let us know what was going on. I will now go and try and figure out how to follow you LOL. Perhaps those you do have the correct info for could post for you with your new blog info in a post? Then anyone who reads their blog would get the info.

Welcome back. and why little man in a hurry?

    1. I am so glad you commented. It means I am making some progress with my addled mind! "Send E-mails to my followers!" But that is an arduous task as you might imagine, We're getting Sacramento heat -- it was supposed to be in the 90s this week, but now they're saying 80's. In other words warmer than warm!

    3. I hear ya! Now I'm trying to remember how to sign into Google+ !!! just so I can sign into Blogger. Do you like WordPress better? I just opened a blog over there with the same name, but don't know how to let all my friends over here how to find me. What a crapfest!

    4. I personally like the wordpress platform better. But, learning a new system does have a learning curve. The way I log in to blogger or any google product is I just go to that product home page and it will ask you to login. sometimes it is just a small area in the upper right hand corner of my browser that says login. Once logged in to any Google product when I go to another I remain logged in until I close my browser

I still do not even understand why changing your internet provider would change your ability to log on to your blog? I can log into google from my friends computer and my blogger account associated with it. I guess it is a blogger thing?

  2. Sorry you're having problems with the blog, but so glad your new chair is working out! The URL for your new blog comes up haltandstop... yet the title is "little man..." Anyway, love hearing your news. I'm still at kaleidoscopemuff.blogspot.com.

    1. I don't remember most of my blogs I read, but I remembered yours! I know about the difference in the sign in name and the name of my blog, but they are from the same poem; one is the first line (the title) and the other is the last lines of the same poem) so It does make some sense! Well, now that you found me, perhaps you could find out how I could sign into blogger! I can't get in to write more posts! (and I did write down my passwords!)

Be patient... if all else fails I will be on WordPress under the 'halt stop forget relax' name.

Between trying to figure out this mess with Blogger, I hae to figure out Wordpress! all I can say is Arghh!
